Big question….how and where will robby keane play in the liverpool formation…..Yes he will be a front man but he is be playing with fernando torres, but more as a supporting person. Keane will give loverpool the transition formation of 4-4-2 and 4-4-1-1 the 4-4-1-1 suits him best and he will be just behind torres as he pushes up front
Robby keane will help liverpool alot becuase he is good at defense also.

Gerrard will have to link up more with keane and make the holy trinity. Sadly for vorinin, crouch and kuyt they will have to be on the bench

Germany defeat Turkey in a highly thrilling 3-2 game. Turkey had the lead early on but the Germans came back to equalize. The germans scored again but in the last 5 minutes Turkey did it again and equalized like they have done so many times in this Euro 2008 Tournament. In this game Turkey Captain Nehat was not playing due to an injury and the main Turkish keeper was suspended due to his red card for bad discipline in his last game against the Czech Republic.
The action was not over and in the 90th minute german defender Lahm scored a dream goal to clinch the game for germany.

Spain defeat Italy on penalties (4-2) and the star Spanish keep turns out to be the hero. Buffon, the Italian keeper did pull off a save but it was in vein.It was a good game of football in the end but Spain are on their way to the semi finals where they will take on Russia.
Russia pull up a supprise upset on tournament favorites Holland. Russia had an early goal in the 25th minute and it took the Dutch all the way upto the 86th minute for Van Nisterrooy to score. The action packed Russia side stunned the orange team with 2 goals towards the end of the second half of extra time.

Turkey pull up an incredible goal in the 122nd minute of play, practically the very last of the last minute to equalize and take the game to penalties.
Having taken the match to added time, Turkey started to show more adventure. Stipe Pletikosa did well to parry after Emre Aşık had skipped through the Croatia defence and the goalkeeper was then grateful to see Tuncay’s drive flash wide on 102 minutes. In an incredible climax, Klasnić would head Croatia in front in the final minute – Modrić capitalising on an error by Rüştü to provide the assist – only for Semih to hit back with the last kick of the game. His deflected strike flew past Pletikosa, leaving it to a shoot-out to finally tilt the balance in Turkey’s favour.
Germany defeat Portugal 3-2 in an epic battle of the 2 favorites of the tournament. Fate was mean and it had to happen this way but the 2 star teams had to meet in the quarter finals. Germany got 2 early goals and just towards the end of half time Nuno Gomes got a goal for portugal. In the second half captain Ballack headed a goal into the net to make it 3-1. In the last 5 minutes, portugal were able to get another goal through H.Postiga, the impact substitute and they failed on getting the 3rd goal.

Sweden are out of Euro 2008 as they lose to Russia 2-0. Sweden were completely walked all over by Russia who played attacking football. The scoreline could have been 6-0 infact if Russia had put away so many simple finishes on goal. The score line of 2-0 doesn’t do justice to the way the match progressed. Both teams went into this last game on level points and the winner would go on to the quarter finals. Sweden were really disapointing in the way they played.

Spain defeated defending champions Greece by a 2-1 scoreline. Spain rested almost all their main players since thing game wasn’t signifiact in their qualification for the quarterfinals.

Italy are through to the quarter finals after defeating their rivals at the world cup finals. Italy won by 2-0 and France say goodbye to us. France applied pressure on the world champions early on till Franck Ribery picked up a horrible injury on the lower knee and needed to stretchered off.
The French coach Raymond Domenech positioned Eric Abidal as central defender even though he is used more in the mid-field and the inexperience and experimentation took its toll on France. Abidal was sent off and in the process gave away a penalty for giving away a stupid penalty while he was the last defender. Pirlo made no mistake from the spot and France were forced to make a few tactical changes.
In the 62nd minute there was an Italian free kick a long way outside the box. So D.Rossi blasted the free kick goalwards but the ball took a nasty deflection off Henry and gave Copet(Keeper) no chance of saving it
as he had dived and already comited. With this win Italy are through.
